Other Information & Preferences
Family |
I have one older sister who is a Freshman at Walsh University and plays on their volleyball team. Both of my parents played sports and have been around them their whole life. I have always grown up with sports as a major influence and part of my life. In the past I have played travel softball for 10 years, but last year I decided to stop to put more focus on volleyball. My mom played club volleyball at Bowling Green State University, so she was the one who got me interested in volleyball at a young age. One thing that I think is cool about my family is that if either my sister or I have a sporting event, the whole family goes every time to support each other. Throughout my years of playing sports, not once have my parents given up on me, even when I tore my ACL. They helped me throughout my rehabilitation and drove me to come back even stronger than before my injury. |
Personal Statement |
Between High School and JO, I play volleyball all year-round. I also workout with a private trainer two times a week aside from my high school strength schedule so that I can be in the best volleyball shape possible. I tore my ACL in October ’17 and staying active is a big part of my life so that I am continuing to strengthen my knee. Keeping myself healthy and fit is very important to me since I want to play volleyball in college. |
Goals & Major |
I want to play volleyball in college and follow my interests in the field of health and fitness along with helping and educating others. Working with people and staying fit have been important aspects in my life. |
