2. 2015 – My Ohio Xtreme 15s National team finished 2nd place at the NEQ bid tournament (Philadelphia) which qualified us for Nationals in New Orleans.

Family

I have one younger sister who is 13; she plays volleyball and swims. Both of my parents played sports and have been around them their whole life. I have always grown up with sports as a major influence and part of my life. In the past I have played travel softball for 10 years, but last year I decided to stop and put more of my focus on volleyball. My Mom played club volleyball at Bowling Green in college, so she was the one who got me interested in volleyball at a young age. One thing that i think is cool about my family is that if either my sister or i have a sporting event the whole family goes every time to support each other. Throughout my years of playing sports, not once have my parents given up on me, which has lead me to be the person I am. I have a hardworking, dedicated, and determined attitude which I know can take me far in life. Not only does my family impact who I am but my teammates have become like family to me over the years.

Personal Statement

I play volleyball and condition year-round. My high school team weight lifts four months in the off season then adds conditioning into our schedule at the beginning of summer, and we do both of those until the end of our season. When my team is not conditioning, I go on my own to condition and stay in shape. Fitness and nutrition is a key part of my life and I love to workout not only to stay healthy but also to stay injury free. Besides the health side of me, I also love to help others and be a leader. Leadership has always been a strong suit of mine on the court, in school, and in my social life. To me, teaching and helping others is very rewarding because you feel a sense of accomplishment.

I want to play volleyball in college and follow my interests in the field of health and fitness along with helping and educating others. Working with people and staying fit have been important aspects in my life.
